I didn’t always feel this free in my body…

I used to pick myself apart in the mirror, only focusing on the things I wanted to “fix” about my body.

I would say things like “I need to workout” or “I need to go on a diet,” not because I wanted to but because I thought I had to in order to fit a certain beauty standard.

So I would force myself to go the gym (sometimes), eat food I thought was healthy during the week, and then eat mostly fast food + drink a lot of alcohol on the weekends.

I had minimal knowledge on how my thoughts, my words, and the food I was consuming were effecting my physical, mental, and emotional health.

Thankfully, my work in healthcare opened me up to wanting to learn more about why so many people were suffering with chronic diseases. This curiosity lead me to discover books, documentaries, and courses on nutrition, yoga, meditation, and fitness.

Putting this new found knowledge into my own personal practice was a complete game changer for my life and my health. I now eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, practice yoga and meditation (among many other helpful things), not because I feel I have to but because I LOVE how it makes me feel!
